Opening of the photo exhibition "crossing rivers" with a reading and presentation by the artist Milica Milović Kinolli

Poetry, dance, music and photography are combined to reflect on divided and connected communities in the Balkans

The exhibition "Crossing Rivers" takes inspiration from the poem "Emina" by Aleksa Šantić. The story of Emina is unique love story, like a lot of love stories from this part of the world, where rivers are to divide, not to connect. With her photography Milica is talking about the divided communities in the Balkans. About the struggle to cross the river and go to the "other side".

Milica Milović Kinolli is a photographer, graphic designer, human rights and social justice activist and youth trainer. She is also one of the founders of Balkan Art Zone – producers of OneBeat Balkans. Over the years she has been designing and organizing various non-formal educational programs, tackling the topics of peace, human rights and active citizenship through art and activism.                     @MilicaMillovicKinolliPhotography
